Macy’s is putting high priority on Generation Y with the retailer’s implementation of its Millennial initiative. According to an announcement from the store, Macy’s will roll out more than 20 brands for its Macy’s mstylelab (primarily serving customers ages 13 to 22) and Impulse (primarily serving customers ages 19 to 30) departments.
Global fashion brand Lacoste has picked YCD Multimedia’s digital signage platform to manage and control video walls at three stores in the U.S., including the brand’s flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York City.
Black Friday will be the single biggest sales and foot traffic day of this holiday season, followed by Saturday, Dec. 22, according to ShopperTrak, the world’s largest counter and analyzer of retail foot traffic. With the greatest possible number of shopping days — 32 — lying between Black Friday and Christmas this year, ShopperTrak predicts that national retail sales will rise 3.3% (over last year) during the peak holiday shopping months of November and December; retail foot traffic will increase 2.8%.
