Study Finds Millennials Prefer Brick and Mortar to Web Shopping

New research finds that millennials prefer shopping in stores rather that online, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

A survey conducted by LIM College (New York) students revealed 68 percent of 18-to-15-year-olds would rather shop in stores that online for apparel and footwear.

According to the online survey of 310 consumers, only 23 percent shop from a tablet or smart phone.

“Retail observers have been significantly overestimating our use of online and digital technology for shopping. We like shopping in stores and are not as engaged in shopping on the Internet as many have touted,” says Nicole Flasch-Mihalko, a member of the LIM College National Retail Federation Student Association (NRFSA) team, in a WWD article.
